It’s NEVER too early to DANCE!

From one of my all time favourite movies comes one of my all time favourite cheesy tunes!!

I am in such a fantastic mood this morning! Why?? All because I heard this tune on the way into work! How does music do that????

Cheesy Tuesday – 25 August 2015

“Me? I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of what I saw, of what I did, of who I am. And most of all, I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.”

My first ever trip to…..

That’s right! Cork. Before the start of this month, I had never been to Cork. I’m really ashamed to say that.

So…..I took a trip down to visit a friend who has a house down there and had such an amazing time with a house full of locals who showed me the best of what West Cork had to offer!

We visited Crookhaven, Barley Cove Beach, Mizen Head and Three Castles Head.

Mizen Head had been on my Bucket List for quite some time. Of course, I’m always happy to tick something off the list and it did not disappoint. €6 entry for an adult and the scenery is breathtaking.

Barley Cove Beach is stunning and any trip to West Cork should involve a stop at this magnificent beach.

Crookhaven is where we stopped to eat and I can highly recommend The Crookhaven Inn for a superb dinner. I wouldn’t complain about the wine either.

For lunch, drop into O’Sullivans for a toastie or an open crab/salmon sandwich and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I absolutely LOVE visiting new places.

I’m already planning another trip down to West Cork to see plenty of other places I didn’t get to visit!

I’m posting some photos below – feel free to comment or if you have any questions on any of the locations, just ask!

Toor Pier:

 Mizen Head:
Three Castles Head:

Barley Cove Beach:

P.S. There was no filter applied to the scenery pictures. What you see is EXACTLY how it was. The colours are amazing, aren’t they!?

P.P.S. The pictures with me in them are 100% filtered!

Get yourselves to West Cork! You won’t be disappointed!

Be The Reason…..

Say thank you….and really mean it.

Hold a door open for someone.

Pay a compliment.

Send a good morning text to someone.

Hold the lift for the person who is just about to miss it.

Smile at a stranger.

Buy a coffee for the next person in line at the coffee shop.

Apologise for something if you need to.

Leave someone a little random note to brighten up their day – leave it in their coat pocket, their wallet or under the duvet so they will see it tonight before they go to sleep, etc.

Send someone a thank you card or email.

Ask someone how they are – not because that’s what you normally do! Ask them because you genuinely want to know how they are and then listen to their response.

Give someone a call that you haven’t spoken with in ages.

Buy someone lunch.

Be silly – crack a joke! Or at least attempt one!

Send a photo to someone knowing that it will make them smile.

Buy someone a treat and leave it on their desk/pillow/somewhere they will see it …. !! as a little surprise.

Make someone a cup of tea.

Send a text to your friends wishing them a wonderful Thursday.

Just do something to make at least ONE person smile today…..Because whatever you do, I guarantee you will end up smiling too.

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Thursday Thought

I was sitting in the park at lunch today reading The Alchemist and I came across this line (pictured above).

I am absolutely in LOVE with these words and wanted to share them with you.

Many of us go through life trying to please others and doing what we think is right by them. Maybe it’s because we just want an easier life or maybe it’s because we care for them so much that we put their feelings first…….

BUT every now and again, you have to listen to your own heart and put yourself first. You just HAVE to. Right?

“Do what you feel in your heart to be right – for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.”
 – Eleanor Roosevelt
